ELISE PEROI
Elise Peroi is a French contemporary artist whose practice centers on textile, weaving, and spatial installation. Working primarily with natural fibers such as cotton, silk, and linen, she transforms traditional weaving techniques into contemporary sculptural environments. Her works unfold through repetitive gestures—tying, layering, stretching—allowing time to become embedded within the material itself.
Suspended in space, her woven structures resemble permeable skins that respond subtly to light and air. Situated between painting and sculpture, her installations generate immersive environments that invite slow observation and bodily awareness. Peroi’s practice reflects on memory, tactility, and the poetic dimension of manual labor, foregrounding fragility and persistence as intertwined forces.
